Botswana Medical Aid Society (Bomaid) is Botswana’s leading private medical aid owned by its subscribing members. The Society is a non-profit organisation and was registered under the Societies Act in 1970. It was established by a consortium which drew its initial membership from audit firms, parastatals and banking sector employers in Botswana. The aim of these businesses was to pool funds together to assist their employees to defray medical expenses.
